?THE POSITION
• To design the cranes (and other products if needed) hydraulic system, in modules that can be reused between different crane types.
• Work closely with the Engineering team, Production, Sourcing, R&D, Sub-suppliers etc.
• Ensure that the hydraulic system meets stipulated safety requirements set either by selected standards or by the classification societies.
• To be a contact person for suppliers of hydraulic equipment as well as with subcontractors, an in co-operation with purchasing find cost effective solutions that fulfils stipulated requirements.
• Certify that each module, as well as the complete system, is validated with an FAT and SAT.
• To fulfil external and internal customer needs for hydraulic system functionality.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• M.Sc or B.Sc. in Engineering with specialization in Hydraulics or simular experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant business / product experience
• Knowledge in hydraulic components and hydraulic system design.
• Flexible and problem solving with analytical qualities.
• Software skill in CAD systems.
• Cooperation and communication skills.

Shipbuilders, owners and operators are able to optimise the lifetime profitability, safety, reliability and environmental sustainability of their operations by working in close cooperation with us.
We are now looking for a developer of embedded software for MacGregor world leading shipboard cranes. As a software designer, you will be part of the R&D team and your role will include development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, software design, integration, verification, support and product documentation.
Key accountabilities
Working in all product development phases from pre-study to end of life:
System Design
Software Development for Embedded Systems
Simulation, scripting and tool automation for software verification.
Cooperation with other disciplines, such as
Electrical and hydraulic Design
R&D-testing
Production
Suppliers.
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
What do we expect from you?
To be successful in this position, we believe you have the following background
Master's or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics or related field
Good knowledge about C/C++
Experience with code coverage and static analysis tool
Experience of release and requirement management tools
Passionate about coding and software development
Flexible and problem solving with analytical qualities
Able to develop and present new and innovative solutions
Adapt easily to new techniques and keen to increase knowledge
As the position will have many internal and external contacts, good communication skills and proficient of spoken and written English is important.
Experience of functional safety, machine vision or simulation modeling is an advantage.
